Kala is a non-profit arts organization and a vital community hub for artistic engagement and experimentation. Located in the historic Heinz building on San Pablo Avenue between Ashby and Heinz Avenue, Kala offers artist residencies, art classes and workshops for youth and adults, Artists-in-Schools programs, art sales, exhibitions and public programs.

Kala's gallery hosts six exhibitions annually and is free and open to the public Tuesday - Friday 12-5pm and Saturdays, 12-4pm.
